Africa-Press – Gambia. Brikama United on Saturday ended Hart FC’s four-match winning run with a 3-1 victory at the Box Bar Mini Stadium in a league fixture that saw all eight teams score across four matches.

Bubacarr Sallah handed the Sateyba Boys an early lead with a fine finish in the seventh minute. Lamin Touray extended the advantage with a brace scored on either side of halftime to put the home side firmly in control. Hart FC pulled one back in the 65th minute through talisman Nfansu Dibba, but it proved only a consolation.

At the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium, Team Rhino FC and GPA FC settled for a 1-1 draw in a closely contested encounter marked by outstanding goalkeeping performances.

Team Rhino started strongly but failed to break down GPA’s defence. The visitors capitalised in the 38th minute when Ebrima Badjie headed home following a goalkeeping error by Alagie Saho. Saho redeemed himself just before halftime with a crucial save to deny Omar Jarju from a free kick.

Team Rhino equalised three minutes before the break as Babucarr Jobe struck a low drive into the bottom corner. Both sides created chances in the second half, but neither could find a winner as the match ended in a stalemate.

Elsewhere, Medina United became the first side to secure victory at the Dimphy’s Memorial Football Complex against Gambian Dutch Lions, winning 2-1. Paul Colley scored twice in the first half to give the visitors a comfortable lead. Substitute Momodou Jallow pulled one back for the hosts in the second half, but Medina United held on for maximum points.

At the Ousman Saho Football Field, BST Galaxy FC and Greater Tomorrow shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw. Mansour Mbaye gave BST Galaxy the lead in the first half, but Greater Tomorrow equalised in the second half through Buba Sonko, who converted from the penalty spot.

Following the latest round of matches, Gambia Ports Authority remain top of the table with 27 points, four ahead of second-placed Hart FC. Bombada occupy third position with 21 points.
