Africa-Press – Gambia. The Brikama Sports Committee has budgeted D7,520,198.00 expected expenditure in its various areas of responsibility for 2025/2026 season.
The Sports Committee bears the burden of Brikama United male and female football teams, volleyball team, basketball team, and other sporting responsibilities.
The Committee estimated that the subvention for the Brikama United male team is projected at D2,000,000 and D1,500,000 for its female team. The volleyball team is expected to spend D175,000, and the basketball team is estimated at D100,000. The athletics and cricket teams are estimated at D50,000 and D30,000, respectively.
The Committee further outlined expenditure in the Inter-Kabilo competition, Super Cup, the League and Knockout competitions, and Brikama Zonal team, amongst others.
The Committee’s expected income was projected at D8,837,979.00. This revenue is expected to be generated from the contracts signed, notably from Africell and APS, teams subventions from GFF, players’ sales, team registration, gate takings from the League and Knockout and other rentals to their purview.
