Africa-Press – Gambia. The Algerian football team qualified Friday for the semi-finals of CHAN’2023, by beating a similar team from Côte d’Ivoire, by 1-0, in the African Championship, which takes place in the territory Algerian.
In a quarter-final match, played at the Nelson Mandela Stadium, in Tunis, the solitary goal was scored by Aimen Mahious, in the 90+6 minute (penalty).
With this result, at a tangent, the hosts remove the Ivorians from the competition, which is only reserved for players who play in competitions in their respective countries.
Also this Friday, at the 19 de Maio Stadium, the Senegalese team also qualified, by defeating Mauritania, by 1-0, with a goal by Lamine Camara, at 34′, also from a penalty.
On Saturday, Madagascar plays against Mozambique (17h00), and Niger faces Ghana (20h00).
The semi-finals are scheduled for the 31st, while the third place dispute for the 3rd of February.
The final takes place on Sunday (4).
