Africa-Press – Gambia. Namibian sprinter Christine Mboma is poised to make her competitive return to athletics after a hiatus of one year and eight months.

The 20-year-old Olympic 200 meters silver medalist will mark her comeback at the Absa Kip Keino Classic on April 20 at the Nyayo National Stadium.

Mboma’s last competitive outing was at the Commonwealth Games in August 2022, where she secured a bronze medal in the 200 meters event. However, her career was temporarily affected by World Athletics’ new rules on testosterone levels, particularly for athletes with Differences in Sex Development (DSD).Underwent treatment to lower her testosterone levels
