Africa-Press – Gambia. The Gambia U-17 Head Coach Yahya Manneh has unveiled his 21-man squad for next month’s WAFU-A CAF TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, set to be hosted in Bamako, Mali, from 5th to 18th October 2025.
Speaking at a press conference held at the GFF Secretariat on Monday, Manneh confirmed that the Baby Scorpions have been drawn in Group A alongside hosts Mali, Liberia, and Guinea-Bissau.
The team will open its campaign against Guinea-Bissau on 5th October, before taking on Liberia on 8th October and Mali on 11th October.
The final squad includes: Muhammed Trawally (Gambinos Stars Africa), Ousman Tamba (United World Stars FA), Muhammed Danso (KGH Sports FA), Samsideen Touray (Kairaba FA), Barham Bittaye (Almasi FA, Nigeria), Pa Omar Sarjo (ESohna FA), Alagie Baba Leigh (Ajel de Rufique FC, Senegal), Lamin Jobe (Dibba Oil FA), Bisenty Mendy (Kids With Talent FA), Alieu Drammeh (FC Barcelona, Spain), Modou Loum (BK West FA), Lamin Bojang (TMT FA), Augustine Junior Mendy (SEEDS FA), Sambujang Daffeh (TVB FA), Barak Lamin M. Manneh (SV Curslack Neugamme FC, Germany), Ahmed Njundu Kanyi (Sporting Supreme FC, Nigeria), Bakary Marong (Jambanjelly United FC), Muhammed Secka (SBEC Vision FA), Babucarr Bojang (Sotokoi FA), Abdoulie Samba (Medina United FA), and Moses Gomez (Bettet Tomorrow FA).
Coach Manneh expressed confidence in the squad’s ability to compete effectively in the qualifiers, emphasizing the importance of discipline, teamwork, and representing the nation with pride.
