Africa-Press – Gambia. Colley Foundation for Social and Environmental Justice recently donated football and jerseys to Farato under fifteen (U15) finalists Fantanka FC and Sultan FC respectively.
This donation came shortly after the president of the Colley Foundation for Social and Environmental Justice, Bubacarr FM Colley was invited to the final that was sponsored by his foundation as a guest of honor.
“Being young is a synonym for change, progress, and future, being young is, ultimately, facing challenges and creating or recreating a space for future full development. It means turning problems into opportunities and solutions and being the driving force of society,” he said.
He added that the foundation sponsorship is part of the fulfillment of its social Justice responsibilities and is imperative to support young people to climb up to their dreams.
According to him, most importantly sports, in particular, can positively affect aspects of personal development among young people, such as responsibility and self-esteem.
Meanwhile, the community of Farato and both football teams Fantanka Fc and Sultan Fc were appreciative of the kind gesture and thanked the president and his foundation for such a gesture.
