Africa-Press – Gambia. Elon Musk has reignited a lawsuit against OpenAI and its CEO, Sam Altman. In the lawsuit, filed on Monday, Musk accuses the company of prioritizing profits over public welfare. Musk’s latest legal manoeuvre against the firm he co-founded in 2015 is this.
Musk claims that OpenAI, once a pioneer in generative artificial intelligence, has shifted its focus from its original mission to develop AI for the benefit of humanity. He alleges that Altman ” flipped the narrative” and began prioritizing financial gains.
The new suit seeks to invalidate OpenAI’sOpenAI’s licensing agreement with Microsoft, arguing that the deal, which grants Microsoft access to OpenAI’sOpenAI’s language models in exchange for substantial investment, exceeds the scope of the original partnership.
Musk withdrew a lawsuit in June, which accused OpenAI and Altman of deviating from their founding mission. The earlier case, filed in February, was dismissed at Musk’s request, though reasons for the withdrawal were not disclosed.
OpenAI and Musk did not respond to requests for comment on the revived lawsuit.
