False pretense accused granted bail for Over D100,000

Africa-Press – Gambia. By Sainabou Sambou Pa Modou Jolo, an accused charged for false pretense has been granted a bail in the sum of D110,000.00 by the Kanifing Magistrate Court presided over by Magistrate Colley after pleaded not guilty of the offence on Tuesday when he appeared in court.

The accused, Pa Modou Jolo, in particular of his offence, in December 2020 at Serekunda and diverse places did by false pretense with intent to defraud obtained the sum of D110,000.00 (one hundred and ten dalasis) from Abdourahman Jallow with the pretext of facilitating him a visa.

After pleaded not guilty of the offense, he was granted bail in the sum of one Hundred and ten thousand dalasis with two Gambian sureties who shall deposit his or her ID card to the court register and swore an affidavit of means. The case is adjourned to the 10th January 2022. Inspector A. Badjie represented IGP.
