Africa-Press – Gambia. A 3-year-old boy, Alieu Trawallay and his younger brother Saidou Trawally, aged 1 and 3 months, yesterday died in a fire that burnt their parents’ self-contained house in Bundung.
The cause of the fire is not yet known. The mother said the kids’ elder woke her up and alerted her to the fire in the house. But the father of the deceased children Ismaila Trawally could only say that the incident was predestined by God and no one should attribute it to anything else.

Yafatou Touray, who lives in the house, said the fire started around 7am, while she was in her house preparing her children for school.
“I heard people shouting and when I came out, I met the Jainaba who told me that her children were in the house. We tried to enter but the fire was raging, which was eventually put out by neighbours.”
The boys were taken out with one of them Alieu, already dead while his brother died on the way. The siblings were laid to rest yesterday.
