Africa-Press – Gambia. The Gambia national team have won silver medal in the 2025 West Africa deaf football tournament.
The Deaf Scorpions lost to host nation Nigeria 5-3 on post-match penalty shootouts after regular time failed to produce a winner in a well-contested final played in Abuja on Saturday.
The Gambia deaf national team performed extremely well and created goal scoring chances but failed to capitalise on them thus the match ended stalemate.
This pushed the into post-match penalty shootouts, which ended 5-3 in favour of Nigeria.
