Gambian Minister of Health reiterates thanks to Cuba for its solidarity assistance

Banjul, Aug. 30. – The Gambian Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmadou Lamin Samateh, reiterated the gratitude of the authorities and the people of this nation in Western Africa to Cuba for the solidarity assistance he provides in medical care to his countrymen.

The Gambian incumbent visited the diplomatic mission of Cuba in this capital, where he held a cordial working meeting with the Ambassador of the Greater Antilles, Rubén G. Abelenda, and the Head of the Cuban Medical Brigade (BMC), Anaris Martha Odio Mosquera.

Samateh highlighted the humanitarian work carried out by the members of the BMC in this small country of a little more than two million inhabitants, which he described as indispensable.

For his part, the Diplomat and the Head of the BMC told the Minister that Cuba will continue to provide health and save lives in all corners of the world, and in that regard they stressed that Gambia can continue to count on the Doctors and Technical staff of the Caribbean Island.
