Africa-Press – Gambia. The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) brought back the Ramadan First Division League games to be played under the floodlights of the Independence Stadium in Bakau. This year’s edition will coincide with week-14 of the domestic first division league starting tomorrow, on Tuesday 5th April.
There will be two matches on each match day with kick-off times scheduled at 9pm and 11pm respectively, to allow people the opportunity to break their fast and arrive at the Stadium on time.
The first will see Falcons play Team Rhino in the early kick-off followed by the Banjul derby between Banjul United and Armed Forces. According to the Football House, tickets for the night games are D200 for the VIP; D50 for the Covered Pavilions and D25 for Uncovered Pavilions.
The GFF is also offering a Special Ramadan Match Package where interested parties will only pay D3000 to access all the matches to be played during the Ramadan with a permanent seat allocated to the individual.
Finally, journalists are also urged to always show their press cards at the gates to access the Media Tribune to allow them to effectively execute their duties and functions.
