The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) has officially inaugurated its Awards Night Committee, a key initiative aimed at institutionalizing and enhancing recognition of excellence in Gambian football. The ceremony, held at Football House in Kanifing on [insert date], was presided over by GFF President Lamin Kaba Bajo, who charged the committee with organizing a prestigious and enduring end-of-season awards event.
The newly formed committee is tasked with meticulously planning and executing an annual gala that will celebrate outstanding achievements across all facets of Gambian football. Mr. Bakary K. Jammeh, appointed as Chairman of the committee, expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him and his team. “I am deeply honored by the President’s trust in appointing me to lead this noble initiative,” said Jammeh. “My team and I are committed to working assiduously and expeditiously to ensure the resounding success of this event. The GFF Awards Night Committee is mandated to propose the schedule, design, and concept of each edition, establish a budget, and secure sponsorships, partnerships, and donors to ensure a self-financed and sustainable annual awards event.
