Africa-Press – Gambia. In an effort to support emerging talents, GMB Promotion, a talent scouting and artist promotion outfit, has signed a music deal with Emmanuel Lawrence, popularly known by his stage name Manue.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the deal was officially endorsed on Tuesday, 5th August 2025, during a signing ceremony held at Bennett Apartment in Brufut.
The agreement is aimed at promoting, producing, and projecting the artist and his music to a wider international audience.
Speaking before the signing, the Chief Executive Officer of GMB Promotion, Christopher Mendy better known in the music scene as Chris Black warmly welcomed Manue to the label. He congratulated him on the partnership and outlined GMB Promotion’s mission, emphasizing their commitment to not only discovering and signing talent but also empowering them to succeed in the music industry.
Chris Black, a Germany-based Gambian music promoter and event organizer, praised Manue for his persistence and dedication, revealing that the young artist had been reaching out for nearly three years.
“We were just waiting for the right moment and now is the time. I’ve listened to his work, and it aligns perfectly with what GMB Promotion is looking for,” Chris Black said. “GMB Promotion is a beacon of hope for aspiring artists ready to make it big. We’re not stopping at the local level; our vision is international.”
After signing the deal, an elated Manue expressed his gratitude to the GMB Promotion team for believing in his talent. He also extended heartfelt thanks to his fans and close friends who have supported him throughout his journey.
“It’s always a joy for an artist to have a solid team to lean on and grow with,” he shared.
Other artists and affiliates of GMB Promotion, including producer Richard and partner artist Pascal Mendy, also commended the deal and congratulated Manue on this milestone.
The partnership marks a promising chapter in Manue’s music career, as he joins a platform dedicated to elevating talent beyond borders.
