Africa-Press – Gambia. Bai Dodou Jallow, president of the Gambia National Olympic Committee (GNOC), has described the Commonwealth Games as more than a sporting event, calling it a celebration of humanity, solidarity, and shared destiny.
Speaking during the King’s Baton Relay on Wednesday in Banjul, led by Vice President H.E. Muhammed B.S. Jallow, Bai Dodou Jallow emphasized that the Games provide an opportunity to celebrate youth participation and community engagement through sport.
“It showcases our national culture, identity, and hospitality to the world. It promotes the values of inclusivity, sustainability, and excellence that define the Commonwealth spirit,” he said.
