Africa-Press – Gambia. Gambia Ports Authority (GPA) FC, on Thursday sacked head coach Kebba Drammeh and his entire technical side. Gimou as he fondly called, signed a contract as permanent boss of the Ferry boys last month (June)

He served as interim coach for the GPA side for a year, following the departure of Sheikh Adama Joof on mutual terms. Drammeh formed an integral part of all the four league titles won by the Gambia Ports Authority (GPA FC) as a star player and an assistant coach.

Meanwhile, Coach Amath Cham has been already lined up to replace Drammeh. Amath’s last major stint as head coach was with Real De Banjul in the 2014/15 season.

He also briefly served as an assistant coach to Alieu Jagne at Hawks last season. Coach Amath Cham have a huge task of saving GPA from relegation as they sit bottom of the first division table with 25 points and five games to go.
