Africa-Press – Gambia. Football clubs affiliated with the Gunjur Sports Committee are heading to the polls on Sunday, 20th July 2025, to elect the next officials of the committee.
The incumbent, Dembo F. Touray, has thrown his hat in the ring for re-election after serving his first term in office. He will this time face Lamin Bada Bojang, who has also shown a strong intention to run for the presidency of the Gunjur Sports Committee.
With the committee disbursing invitations and reports for the elective congress, affiliated clubs in and around the community will gather at the VDC Office in Gunjur to decide the next president and other elective positions.
In a statement released ahead of the congress, the GSC reminded all affiliated clubs to send two non-playing representatives and to arrive on time. The committee also announced that invitation letters and congress reports will be distributed to clubs on Monday, 14th July 2025.
