Africa-Press – Gambia. Gunjur United last Thursday beat B4U Kiang West 3-0 in their week-nine fixture played at the Jarra-Soma Mini Stadium to clutch second-place in the 2021-2022 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) division two league.
The Coastal Town boys were sitting fifth-place on the country’s second tier table prior to their match with B4U Kiang West, who are occupying 9th place.
Gunjur United required a victory to close the gap on second division league leader PSV Wellingara, who slipped to Jam City 4-1.
The Coastal Town boys scored three goals in the match without B4U Kiang West reacting to clutch second-spot on the country’s second division league table with 18 points.
B4U Kiang West dropped to eleventh-place on the second tier table with 11 points after losing to Gunjur United 3-0.
Gunjur United will brawl to win their remaining fixtures in the first round to pile pressure on second division league leaders PSV Wellingara.
