Ceesay, the member for Serrekunda West, has been elected to the Continental Board of the African Parliamentarians Network Against Corruption (APNAC). His election took place during the network’s 9th Biennial General Meeting (BGM), held from November 7–9, 2025, in Accra, Ghana.

According to the National Assembly’s statement, Hon. Ceesay—who also chairs the Standing Committee on Human Rights and Constitutional Matters—was elected in recognition of his “leadership and unwavering commitment to transparency and accountability.” He will serve a two-year term on the restructured board, following recent constitutional reforms that broadened APNAC’s leadership structure, including an expansion of vice presidents from one to four.
