Africa-Press – Gambia. Jeshwang United FC were crowned champions of the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Women’s League Division Two despite being defeated 1-0 during their final game of the league against Kintehs FC.

The New-Jeshwang based team won the league after collecting 39 points in 18 matches. They won 12, drew 2 and lost 3 matches after playing eighteen games.

Meanwhile, Future Bi and Koita also secured giant trophy, gold medals and a cash prize of D200, 000, while Koita FC were given D150, 000 with silver medals for finishing second place and Koita FC scooped D100, 000 and bronze medals for emerging third place.

Future Bi and Koita also secured wins over Young Icons and Greater Tomorrow in Saturday’s matches played across two venues. Koita FC finished 2nd position with 38 points, while Future Bi FC emerged 3rd place after collecting 36 points.

Foni Girls and Young Icons have been relegated to play in their respective regional third division leagues. Foni Girls and Young Icons are relegated after collecting 8 points and 3 points respectively after 18 matches.
