Africa-Press – Gambia. Jeshwang United recorded the biggest win while Koita’s maintained their lead at the top of the table in the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Women’s 2nd Division League week-three fixtures played over the weekend.

The Old Jeshwang-based team defeated Foni Girls 6-2 in the earlier game played at Kiti football field on Sunday. Jeshwang United has now collected their second win of the season while the struggling side Foni Girls conceded to their second defeat of the season.

Foni Girls now collected one draw and two defeats while Jeshwang United collected two wins and one draw in three games. Jeshwang United moved to 2nd position with 6 points, while Foni Girls sit at the rock-bottom-(10th)-position with 1 points leveling with Raptim FC.

Elsewhere, Koita FC has maintained their lead at the top of the standings after defeating Lower Nuimi 1-0 in the first game played at the Soma mini-stadium on Friday.

Koita FC maintained their lead after winning all their three fixtures while Lower Nuimi conceded to their second defeats with one win in three games. Koita FC top the standings with 9 points, while Lower Nuimi sit 8 position with 3 points leveling with Young Icons and Future Bi after three games.

Greater Tomorrow defeated Young Icons 3-0 in the late encounter played at the Soma mini-stadium on Friday. Greater Tomorrow collected their second win of the league while Young Icons conceded to their second defeat of the season so far.

The result moved Greater Tomorrow to 3rd position with 6 points leveling with Jeshwang United and Prisons FC, while Young Icons sit 6th position with 3 points leveling with Future Bi and Lower Nuimi respectively after three games.

Kinteh FC were held to a goalless draw by Raptim FC in a game played at the Kiti football field on Sunday. Kintehs FC who collected one win now forced to their second draw of the season while struggling side Raptim FC conceded to their first draw of the league after losing two of their opening games. Kintehs FC occupy 5th position with 5 points while Raptim FC sit second from bottom (9th) position with 1 point leveling with Foni Girls
