Africa-Press – Gambia. Kabafita United has been crowned champions of the Brikama Sports Committee (BSC) Super Cup after a narrow victory over Manduar United. The highly anticipated match was played on Saturday at the Brikama Boxba mini-stadium.
The lone goal of the game came in the 23rd minute from tournament newcomer Omar Keita, whose beautiful finish was enough to secure the win for Kabafita United.
After falling behind, Manduar United increased their offensive pressure, creating several good scoring opportunities. However, they were unable to break through Kabafita’s determined defense, which held strong for the remainder of the match.
The final was well-attended by enthusiastic football fans from Brikama and beyond.
As champions, Kabafita United took home a large trophy, gold medals, and a cash prize of D20,000. Manduar United, as runners-up, received silver medals and D15,000.
