Africa-Press – Gambia. Kairo Clinic, a private clinic that has been operating in The Gambia for the past two years, has unveiled rising Gambian artiste, Hussain Dada, as the clinic’s Humanitarian Brand Ambassador.

Hussain Dada, a prominent Gambian afropop artiste, on Monday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the management of Kairo Clinic at a ceremony held at the Clinic’s head office in Senegambia.

Dr Mamina Hydara, Medical Supervisor at Kairo Clinic, underscored the significance of the MoU between them and the country’s rising artiste.

Kairo Clinic, he went on, has over the years been rendering humanitarian interventions to needy people in the country in providing accessible health care services to the less privileged.

The objective of the partnership, he added, is to raise awareness and disseminate information on the humanitarian services the Clinic is doing in the country.

Israel Aseweje, the deputy Managing Director of Kairo Clinic, also expatiated on the importance of the partnership, saying: “Kairo Clinic has a Zakat Component which is currently benefiting 4,000 people who have subscribed to our health insurance. In fact, most of these beneficiaries are the less privileged people.”

He added: “We are thrilled to have Hussain Dada as our brand humanitarian Ambassador. This is as a result of the artiste’s active participation in humanitarian endeavours in the country.

“Additionally, the artist has a wider platform where a lot of Gambians are following. Therefore, it will be easier for us to be disseminating information with a view to enable us raise public awareness on the services and humanitarian interventions we are offering at the clinic.”

Mr Aseweje called for greater collaboration in the country, saying: “Our objective is to ensure that health care is accessible to all Gambians with the desire of ensuring that they participate in nation building.”

For his part, Ebrima Darboe, Hussain Dada’s manager, said: “We subscribe to Kairo Clinic’s initiative due to the fact that it aligned with some of our objectives in adding values to the lives of people in the country.”

Reacting to the development, Hussain Dada shared his enthusiasm about the partnership and assured of his readiness to fulfilling the partnership.
