Africa-Press – Gambia. Kintehs, Future Bi, City Girls and GAF all secured maximum points as the final four matches of the GFF Women’s Second Division, week nine, produced twelve goals — an average of three goals per match.
In a thrilling encounter in Brusubi, Kintehs overcame Jeshwang United 4-3. Marie Fofana and Marie Senghore put Kintehs 2-0 ahead inside the first half hour. However, Marie Prierra sparked a dramatic turnaround for Jeshwang United, scoring a hat-trick in the final 15 minutes of the first half to give her side a 3-2 lead at the break. Nyima Jallow then led a remarkable comeback for Kintehs, completing a brace to secure the 4-3 victory.
At the Ousman Saho Football Field, Future Bi edged Prisons 1-0, with Ausai Sanneh scoring the only goal of the game. The win marked Future Bi’s third consecutive victory.
In Soma, GAF defeated Lower Niumi 1-0, thanks to Isatou Sanyang’s decisive strike.
Meanwhile, City Girls maintained their impressive run with a 2-1 comeback win over Rakie at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium. Awa Faal opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 37th minute, but Rokhaya Diedhou equalised six minutes later. Yafama Badjie then completed the comeback in the 71st minute, securing City Girls’ second successive victory.
