Africa-Press – Gambia. Tamba Kunda FC have secured a place in the final of the Foni Bintang Karanai District Football Committee Knock-out League after defeating Kaimo FC 1-0 in the first semifinal of the 2025/2026 season.
The match, played at the Sibanor UBS/SSS football field, lived up to expectations as both sides battled fiercely for a spot in the final. Despite limited scoring opportunities, Tamba Kunda FC proved more decisive in front of goal.
The breakthrough came in the 57th minute when forward Jerreh Nyassi capitalised on a chance at the far post, calmly slotting home what turned out to be the winning goal.
Kaimo FC responded with increased pressure in search of an equaliser, but were unable to penetrate a resolute Tamba Kunda defence that held firm until the final whistle.
The narrow victory sees Tamba Kunda FC advance to the final of the competition.
They will face the winner of the second semifinal match between Bajagarr FC and Gifanga FC, scheduled for Wednesday, 1 April 2026.
