Africa-Press – Gambia. Following the successful medicines recall exercise from the 5th to 9th of October 2022, the Ministry of Health in collaboration with the Medicines Control Agency and other partners will be conducting the second phase of the Medicines Recall exercise from Friday 21st to Tuesday 25th of October 2022.
The Director of Health Promotion, Modou Njai revealed that all paracetamol syrups, Promethazine syrups, and other cough syrups in circulation will be recalled during the nationwide exercise.
“In addition, all Maiden Pharmaceuticals Limited products will be recalled from all pharmacy outlets, drug stores, and households countrywide,” the Director of Health Promotions Modou Njai said.
He also said the teams comprising The Gambia Red Cross Society, Child Fund the Gambia volunteers, and health personnel will be deployed to conduct this exercise countrywide.
