Africa-Press – Gambia. Dou Sanno, presidential adviser and senior member of the National People’s Party (NPP), has sharply criticized the leadership of the opposition United Democratic Party (UDP), accusing its top figures of hindering the party’s progress.
Speaking at an NPP meeting in Kering Sering, Sanno singled out UDP leader Ousainou Darboe, along with senior party members Aja Yam Secka and Ajiratou Yarbo, claiming their continued dominance poses a major obstacle to the UDP’s political ambitions.
“Ousainou Darboe knows he will never be president, but he refuses to give others a chance because his livelihood depends on politics,” Sanno charged.
He further argued that Aja Yam Secka and Ajiratou Yarbo were also contributing to what he described as the party’s stagnation.
“If the UDP does not move on from these three individuals, it will never succeed in leading this country,” he warned.
Sanno also urged his audience to remain cautious of the UDP, suggesting that its leadership is not aligned with the country’s best interests and could have adverse consequences for national development.
