Africa-Press – Gambia. The Gambia Police Female side have recorded a vital win while Koita FC were held to a draw during their week-14 fixtures of the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Women’s First Division League played across different venues on Saturday.
Police FC defeated Jeshwang United 3-1 during a game played at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium.
Cathrine Jatta scored the three goals (hat-trick) for the Police in the 3rd, 41st and 90+2 minutes respectively. Matty Jarju scored Jeshwang’s consolation goal in the 68th minute.
The win puts the Police on 3rd position with 25 points, while Jeshwang United maintain rock-bottom-(10th)-position with 9 points.
Elsewhere, Raptim FC held Koita FC to a goalless draw during a game played at the Bakau Mini Stadium.
The draw puts Koita FC at 4th position with 19 points, three points above Raptim FC, who sit 6th position with 14 points.
