Africa-Press – Gambia. The People’s Progressive Party (PPP) has confirmed the resignation of its spokesperson, Alhaji Waka Jagne, who stepped down to focus on family commitments.

In a formal letter addressed to Mr. Jagne, PPP Leader Ousman Madikay Faal expressed gratitude for his service and acknowledged his decision with respect and understanding.

“I am writing to formally acknowledge and accept your resignation from the position of Spokesperson for the PPP. I fully understand and respect your decision to focus on your family commitments,” PPP’s Party Leader wrote to Alhaji Waka Jagne.

The party leader also commended Jagne for his dedication and the valuable insights he brought to the role.

“Your contributions have been greatly appreciated. Please know that you remain a valued member of the party, and I encourage you to continue supporting us in any way you can. My door is always open should you have any questions, concerns, or ideas to help strengthen the PPP. Thank you once again for your service as a spokesperson. I wish you all the best in your future endeavors,” he added.
