Africa-Press – Gambia. The Queen Scorpions of The Gambia were yesterday, Thursday beaten 3-2 at home by Namibia in opening match of the African Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON) qualifiers first leg played at the Stade Ben Ahmed El Abdi El Jadida in Morocco.
Fatou I. Kanteh scored a brace for the Queen Scorpions during the match but it was not enough to earn The Gambia the desired result.
Meanwhile, the Queen Scorpions will lock horns with Namibia in the second leg of the qualifiers on Sunday 24th September in Morocco.
