Africa-Press – Gambia. Reports reaching us indicate that detainees arrested during the recent PURA protest — including Killa Ace, Yusef Taylor, Lamin Sey, Fallou Gallas Ceesay — have begun a hunger strike at Mile II Central Prison.
According to sources, one of the detainees, Kill Ace, allegedly had his dreadlocks forcibly cut while in custody.
Prison and security authorities have not yet issued an official statement regarding the reported hunger strike or the allegations.
