Africa-Press – Gambia. The Gambia Football Federation has reported that its fourth Vice President has been appointed to serve as a match commissioner in the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) on Friday.
“The fourth Vice President of The Gambia Football Federation (GFF), Ms. Sainabou Cham, has been scheduled as the Match Commissioner for the CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) Morocco 2025 third and fourth place playoffs between Ghana and South Africa,” the football body announced.
The match will be played in Casablanca on Friday, 25th July 2025.
According to reports, Ms. Cham, who is also the head of women’s football in The Gambia, is in Morocco as a member of the CAF Women’s Football Organising Committee and had commissioned matches in the earlier rounds.
Nigeria’s Super Falcons, who have won nine titles out of 12 editions of the tournament, will take on host nation Morocco in Saturday’s (26 July) final as they look to claim a record-extending 10th crown.
