Africa-Press – Gambia. Samakung United Thursday defeated Policeline FC 3-1 as the North Bank Regional Football Association (NBRFA) Third Division League resumed in the Eastern Zone following a 10-day break.

The lone second-round fixture, played at the Farafenni Mini Stadium, saw Samakung United deliver a commanding performance to secure all three points away from home.

Samakung took control of the match early, pressing forward with attacking intent and dominating possession. Their efforts paid off in the first half when Modou Lamin Camara scored twice in quick succession, netting in the 35th and 38th minutes to give the visitors a 2-0 lead at the break.

Policeline FC responded after the restart, with Alassan Cham reducing the deficit in the 56th minute to revive hopes for the home side.

However, Samakung United quickly restored their two-goal advantage when Ablie Sanneh found the net in the 58th minute, sealing a comfortable 3-1 victory for the visitors.

The result marks a strong start for Samakung United in the second round of the Eastern Zone campaign.
