Africa-Press – Gambia. Semplex Company Gambia over the weekend presented a sponsorship package of over D200, 000 to the Banjul Sports Committee (BSC) for this year’s nawetan league season.
The Gambia’s ID Cards producer joined Trust Bank Limited in sponsoring this year’s City-based Sports Committee, to successfully host one of the biggest football jamborees in the country.
Modou Sowe, retired elite referee, who doubles as the chairman of the Banjul Regional Football Association (BRFA), presented the package to the Banjul Sports Committee on behalf of the Semplex Company Gambia.
Through his personal business (MSTE Printing Press), Modou Sowe has been financing and accompaning all footballing bodies from the Regional Football as well as the sports committee for over two decades.
According to the Banjul Sports Committee, Chairman Sowe has sponsored the league title with an amount of D200, 000 and pledged to foot the bill of the league finalists jerseys, league trophy and medals.
“It is also worth mentioning that Mr. Sowe, through the Semplex Group sponsored the Banjul GFF Super Nawetan team with two sets of jerseys, paid their game bonuses and other expenses during the 2022 Super Nawettan (Zonals) competition,” said the committee.
