Africa-Press – Gambia. The Central River Region (CRR) regional chapter of the Sports Journalists’ Association of The Gambia was officially launched on Saturday in a ceremony at the Governor’s residence in Janjangbureh.
Omar Jarju, President of SJAG, stated that this significant event marks the expansion of the SJAG to the Central River Region, bringing together sports journalists from the area and providing them with a platform to promote and advance sports journalism in the region.
The launch was graced by the Deputy Governor of CRR, Mr. Sainey Mbaye, a representative from the CRR football association, and sports journalists across the region.
The launch also serves as a testament to the growing presence and influence of the association in the country’s sporting landscape. Also, on Sunday, the executive proceeded to Basse to launch the URR chapter.
