Africa-Press – Gambia. Centres of excellence to develop skills and technology to modernise mining industry
Five centres of excellence in mining research based at South African universities were officially launched this week.
The centres are supported by the country’s Department of Science and Innovation and the Mandela Mining Precinct. They are an extension of the South African Mining Extraction Research, Development and Innovation strategy, which aims to modernise the country’s mining sector.
