The Brutal Killings Of African Migrants In Morocco

Africa-Press – Gambia. The brutal killing of African youth migrants by the Moroccan police force is unacceptable and unjustifiable. Morocco’s King Mohammed VI should make an immediate investigation into the killing of innocent African migrants trying to cross the Moroccan border to Spain for no justifications. The killings which have since over the weekend gone viral on social media and other TV stations have raised so much concern with dismay about the killings of the migrants.

All lives matter on the earth’s surface as far as human rights is a concern. It was shocking to see the Moroccan police officers chasing their fellow African youths beating them to death while throwing them like cabbage. It is embarrassing for the Moroccan kingdom and an insult to the whole continent in the name of Africanism.

Furthermore, the presidents of all those youths brutally killed by the Moroccan police force, particularly Senegal, and the Gambia among others should engage Morocco’s King as to the cause of the killing of their citizens with such brutality.

The African Union through its chairman, Senegalese President Macky Sall, with all member states should condemn the killing with immediate drastic measures and further call for the investigation of the killings and prosecution of all police officers involved in the brutal killing of those innocent migrants.

It is so cruel and unprofessional for police officers of member states to kill their fellow Africans without any justification. They have equal rights to live and right to freedom which should have been respected. The police are meant to ensure the safety of the people and properties but not to loot or kill citizens like wild animals.

The African Union should immediately take tangible actions to ensure that the Moroccan police force involved in the brutal killings of their fellow African youths face the law.
