Africa-Press – Gambia. The Gambia’s Vice President, Mohammed B.S. Jallow, has called for fair and accessible climate financing for Africa, stressing the continent’s immense potential for green and sustainable development.

Speaking at the second Africa Climate Summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Vice President Jallow underscored the importance of harnessing innovative solutions to create jobs and opportunities while forging stronger partnerships with international allies who share Africa’s vision for climate action.

In a statement released on his official Facebook page, his office highlighted the vice president’s message that climate action must be viewed as a driver of resilience, growth, and long-term sustainable development. “Showing the world that Africa is ready to lead with solutions, not just point out problems,” the statement quoted him as saying.

“Let us foster an Africa where green development is not a compromise – but a powerful engine for prosperity, job creation, and social equity,” Vice President Jallow emphasized.
