Africa-Press – Gambia. His Excellency Mohammed B.S. Jallow, Vice President of The Gambia, on Monday received a high-level delegation from CEKA GROUP A.S. of Turkey and YAYE AICHA of Senegal–Gambia, in partnership with SARIOGLULARI, at the State House in Banjul.
The investors outlined proposals for large-scale development initiatives, including the construction of affordable housing for civil servants with flexible payment schemes and the implementation of a nationwide electricity supply project to expand energy access and support the country’s socio-economic growth.
“His Excellency Mohammed B.S. Jallow, Vice President of The Gambia, today welcomed a high-powered delegation from CEKA GROUP A.S. (Turkey) and YAYE AICHA (Senegal–Gambia) in collaboration with SARIOGLULARI, at the State House in Banjul. The visit aimed to present ambitious investment plans to the government, including affordable housing for all civil servants with flexible payment plans and a nationwide electricity supply project to boost energy access across the country,” the Vice President’s Office said in a statement.
A statement from the Vice President’s Office said the head of the delegation, Mr. Matarr Sosseh, reaffirmed the group’s commitment to contributing to The Gambia’s development agenda and expressed gratitude for the warm reception.
In response, Vice President Jallow assured the delegation of the government’s readiness to facilitate collaboration with the relevant ministries to advance the proposed projects.
“The VP assured them of the Government’s readiness to facilitate engagement with the relevant ministries,” the statement concluded.
