Africa-Press – Gambia. Vice President Mohammed B.S. Jallow has engaged in high-level discussions with Joseph Schellhorn, State Secretary at the Austrian Ministry for European and International Affairs, aimed at enhancing cooperation between The Gambia and Austria.
According to a statement from the Office of the Vice President, posted on its official Facebook page, the meeting took place on the sidelines of the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries.
The talks focused on expanding collaboration in several key areas, including peacekeeping and military assistance, support for the Non-Proliferation Treaty, diplomatic training and scholarship opportunities for Gambian diplomats, tourism development training, labour mobility and migration partnerships, as well as joint strategies to amplify the voices of small states on the global stage.
“This engagement marks yet another step towards building resilient international partnerships that serve our national interest and contribute to global progress,” the statement read.
