Gambia amuses Angola in AFCON Qualifier on March 25

The Gambia senior national team is set to entertain Angola in their group D encounter of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers on 25 March 2021, at the Independence Stadium in Bakau at 4.p.m.

The Scorpions are currently topping group D of the continent’s biggest football showpiece qualifiers with 7 points in four group matches following their convincing 3-1 away victory over Angola in November 2019 before their 2-1 home win over Gabon in November 2020 after their 2-2 home draw with Democratic Republic of Congo in November 2019.

Coach Tom Saintfiet and his boys will use the next two months to prepare themselves well for their crucial qualifiers clash with the Angolans, who are occupying bottom-place in group D of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers with 1 point after four group matches following their goalless with Democratic Republic of Congo after losing to The Gambia 3-1, Gabon 2-1 and Democratic of Congo 1-0 in their previous qualifier matches.

Meanwhile, The Gambia will play away to Democratic Republic of Congo in their final qualifiers match on 29 March 2021 in Kinshasa.
