Gambian striker Yusupha Njie scored a wonderful goal during his Portuguese side, Boavista FC 3-0 home win over Pacos Ferreira in the week-two fixtures of the Portuguese Premeira Liga played at the Estadio do Bessa on Monday.

The 27-year-old made a nice one-two pass finish in the 19 minute of the game for the Panthers (Boavista) after he was remarkably assisted by Kenji Joel Gorre.

Javi Garcia and Jeriel De Santis also registered their names on the score-sheet for the Porto-based club in the 61 and 76 minutes respectively, while Pacos Ferreira couldn’t convert any of their efforts to have a consolation.

The goal is the first by the Gambian international in two games of the Portuguese Premier League new season.

Yusupha Njie, son of the late Gambian football legend Biri Biri, scored 5 goals in 21 games for Boasvista FC last.

The triumph has moved Boavista FC to 8th position with 3 points, while Pacos Ferreira sits 11th position on the same points.

Born in Banjul, Njie began his youth career at local club Wealers FC before switching to Cherno Samba’s academy in 2004.

In July 2017, Yusupha Njie joined Boavista FC on a one-year loan, before later making the move permanent.
