Africa-Press – Ghana. Mr Kojo Ansah Mensah, Chief Executive Officer of Jonah Capital Nigeria Limited, has commended Nigeria’s Attorney-General, Prince Lateef Fagbemi, for upholding the rule of law.
In a press statement, Mr Mensah said the intervention of Nigeria’s Attorney-General, Prince Lateef Fagbemi, in a case involving Jonah Capital had restored confidence among foreign investors and the business community.
He noted that the action reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to law, due process and institutional accountability
Mr Mensah explained that Jonah Capital had challenged police actions, alleged expropriation and altered corporate records, which had raised concerns about the integrity of the system.
He stated that the company had been troubled by the police’s refusal to release a Special Investigation Panel report, describing it as one of the issues that undermined confidence in the process.
Mr Mensah further cited an alleged extra-judicial expropriation of shares and a purported alteration of corporate records in December 2025 by the Registrar-General of the Corporate Affairs Commission, Mr Hussaini Ishaq Magaji, based on a police report without judicial determination.
He thanked the Attorney-General for the “painstaking” review of the case, which reaffirmed the presumption of innocence and due process.
Mr Mensah also expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of Nigerian, President John Dramani Mahama, Ghana’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Ghana’s High Commissioner to Nigeria, Mr Mohammed Baba Jamal Ahmed, and other supporters.
He lauded residents of River Park Estate affected by the dispute, and reaffirmed Jonah Capital’s commitment to Nigeria.
Mr Mensah welcomed the Attorney-General’s directive to reverse the alleged expropriation and record tampering, which he said would reinforce justice, transparency and economic progress.
He, however, cautioned investors and other parties engaging with River Park Estate to exercise care, warning that persons using altered status reports might impersonate the company’s owners while the matter remains in court.
