Africa-Press – Ghana. Mr Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Member of Parliament (MP) of North Tongu and Foreign Minister has rolled out a free fuel support initiative for commercial drivers, ‘okada’ riders and boat operators in the constituency.
The initiative, according to the social media handle of the Minister, dubbed Free Fuel Friday, is scheduled for Friday, February 6, 2026, and is intended to provide temporary relief to transport operators amid prevailing economic pressures.
The exercise will be conducted between 0700 Hours to 0900 Hours at selected fuel stations within the constituency.
In the Battor and Mepe areas, beneficiaries will be served at Star Oil, Battor, and Alinco Filling Station at Aveyime. Transport operators in Dorfor, Volo, Fodzoku and Torgorme will access the support at Life Energy and Alinco Filling Stations in Juapong.
Mr Ablakwa noted that the initiative formed part of his ongoing efforts to support livelihoods and enhance mobility within the constituency, particularly for operators whose work play a critical role in local transportation and economic activities.
