Africa-Press – Ghana. President John Dramani Mahama has sworn in Daniella Mawusi Ntow Sapong as Chief Fire Officer of the Ghana National Fire Service and Mr Samuel Basintale Amadu as Comptroller-General of the Ghana Immigration Service.
A statement issued by the Presidency and copied to the Ghana News Agency said President Mahama charged them to provide decisive leadership, uphold discipline and professionalism, and enhance institutional performance in safeguarding the nation, strengthening emergency response, and improving border management systems.
Madam Ntow Sarpong and Mr Amadu were both first appointed by the President in March 2025, as Acting Chief Fire Officer of the Ghana National Fire Service and Acting Comptroller-General of the Ghana Immigration Service, respectively.
Their swearing in by the President follows their approval by the Governing Councils of their respective institutions.
