Member of Parliament for the Efutu constituency, Hon Alexander Afenyo-Markins has described as diversionary tactics, allegations by ex president John Dramani Mahama on the NPP government’s state-sponsored training of Party tugs to cause mayhem in next year’s general elections.
The National Democratic Congress glagbearer and former Presendet of Ghana in a meeting with the Ghana Journalist Association last week alleged that the Nana Akuffo Addo led government is training party folks to serve as security personnel during the 2020 elections.
Responding to the issue on TV3’s new day program on Monday, Afenyo Markins, the NPP member of Parliament for the Efutu constituency debunked the allegations lebeling them as diversionary tactics.
According to the board chairman of the Ghana water company, the NPP government are delivering on their manifesto promises and that what worries the opposition NDC.
Afenyo Markins continued that, John Mahama had to make those allegations to divert the attention of the public from the good news that the government has secured funds to pay contractors their outstanding arrears.
The lawyer concluded by stating that the Nana Addo led government are focused on delivering on their mandate and expressed confidence that come 2020, Ghanaians will recognize their good works by voting for them to retain power.
