Africa-Press – Ghana. Disgruntled four-time New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Ejisu Constituency, Kwabena Owusu Aduomi, would not contest as an independent candidate in the December parliamentary elections, his camp has confirmed.

A crunch meeting between the Ashanti Regional Council of Elders of the NPP in Kumasi ended with the aggrieved former lawmaker returning to his mother party.

A statement issued on August 6 confirmed the talks.

“Engineer Owusu Aduomi, respectfully responded to overtures made by the Council of Elders and honoured an invitation by the Council aimed at getting him back into the fold” part of the statement read.

The camp of Kwabena Owusu Aduomi also confirmed: “meeting was successful.”

The Former Deputy Roads and Highways Minister contested as an independent candidate in April’s by-election in Ejisu, following the death of the former mp ,Dr John Ampontuah Kumah.
