Africa-Press – Ghana. Crystal Palace have applauded Ghana striker Jordan Ayew after helping the Black Stars reach the World Cup for the fourth time in their history.
Ayew was the only member of the team that traveled to Abuja to ever played at the World Cup, and his experience was immense as the Black Stars urged Nigeria to earn a spot in Qatar.
Ayew played 90 minutes in Kumasi before he was subbed in injury time at the Baba Yara Sports stadium.
In Abuja, he was replace after half time, but he started the move that created Ghana’s decisive goal, which was scored by Thomas Partey.
“Jordan Ayew and Ghana are heading to the 2022 World Cup. They qualify after beating Nigeria over two legs,” Crystal Palace tweeted after the game.

Thomas Partey scored for the Black Stars in the opening minutes of the game before Nigeria were awarded a controversial penalty after Ademola Lookman was adjudged to have been fouled by Dennis Odoi.
Captain Trost Ekong scored from the spot-kick to get the equalizer from the Super Eagles.
Napoli striker Victor Oshimen scored again for the home side but the goal was ruled out by the VAR for offside.
The Black Stars held the Nigerians to a 1-1 draw to secure passage to the World Cup to be staged in Qatar.
