Africa-Press – Ghana. The African Development Bank (AfDB) Group’s Regional Integration Coordination Office will launch its inaugural Integrate Africa Magazine on 26 May, in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.
The launch is scheduled to take place during a high-level side event at the Bank Group’s 2025 Annual Meetings.
The AfDB Group’s Regional Integration Coordination Office in a statement copied to the Ghana News Agency said the magazine showcases the African Development Bank Group’s Integrate Africa pillar, highlighting transformative investments – corridors, bridges, rail, digital infrastructure, energy, regional value chains, and gender-focused financing – anchored in the Bank’s Ten-Year Strategy (2024–2033).
It said beyond coverage of the Bank’s investments, the annual publication is intended to bridge knowledge gaps, inspire confidence, and highlight the Bank’s role as a continental leader in driving regional development.
The statement said the magazine would also demonstrate the continent’s progress and resilience.
It said the launch event, on theme “Unveiling the Future: 10 Years of Connecting Africa,” would feature cultural performances, fireside chats, and remarks from Bank leadership and partners, celebrating regional integration achievements and momentum.
It said with over 3,000 Annual Meetings participants expected, including leaders from financial and development institutions, think tanks, NGOs, the private sector, and academia, the event aims to amplify the impact of integration across the continent.
The statement said the African Development Bank Group is Africa’s premier multilateral development finance institution committed to fostering economic growth and social progress.
As part of its “High 5s” and Ten-Year Strategy, the Bank prioritizes regional integration as a driver of competitiveness, scale, and sustainable development.
It noted that the Regional Integration Coordination Office leads the Bank’s integration agenda, advancing strategic alignment and knowledge products highlighting the Group’s regional development investments.
It said the 2025 Annual Meetings of the Bank Group would run from 26- 30 May, in Abidjan on the theme: “Making Africa’s Capital Work Better for Africa’s Development.”
It said the highlight of this year’s meeting would be the election of its president to succeed Dr Akinwumi Adesina, who would conclude his two five-year terms in September.
