Africa-Press – Ghana. At the event, the Chairman of the Volta, Eastern and Oti Regions of AGI, Dela Gadzanku, said it was time the association collaborated vigorously with HTU to lift the image of the university to astonishing industrial heights.
He said hospitality and tourism management were of particular interest to the association since those activities responded to contemporary global concerns of industry.
The HTU, Mr Gadzanku said, was rising rapidly and AGI was ready to work in partnership with it in the areas of food-processing, garments and agri-business.
The Pro-Vice Chancellor of HTU, Professor Christopher Mensah, expressed his appreciation for the assistance from AGI and said the MOU was another overture for success stories for the university.
“We hope, with time, the AGI will extend similar support to other departments as well,” he added. Collaboration Prof. Mensah said the collaboration would be enhanced with feedbacks on the performances of students on internship with the AGI.
For her part, the Head of the Department of Hospitality and Tourism at HTU, Madam Judith Agboka, said the collaboration between the department and AGI would boost the work of the department.
